Education
There are always classes available to help students expand their perspective on the wonder of God’s grace.
We offer:
+ Church School ~ Christian Education Grades K~10
+ Vacation Bible School ~ Week long extravaganza
+ Bible Studies ~ Adult faith deeper understanding of the Scriptures
+ Special Classes & Workshops ~ Adult education on a broad range of topics
All to broaden our appreciation of all that God has done for us, and to make disciples in the name of Christ. Grounding in the scriptures and in our United Methodist traditions are important for those who seek to deepen their faith…
Beginning May 3, 2010, we will offer a course of study, What We Wish We Had Known, based on the Blue Book published by the Mount Kisco Presbyterian Church. The book deals with the topic of sexual orientation in a balanced and informative manner. We will have four sessions:
May 3 Scientific Perspectives
May 10 Social Perspectives
May 17 Family Life Perspectives
May 24 Theological Perspectives
It you have never studied these topics, please come; if you feel uncomfortable, yet are willing to be open about a sensitive issue and perhaps learn a new perspective, please come; if you are willing to learn how it feels to walk in your brother’s or sister’s shoes, please come. We will meet at Maynard UMC at 7:30 pm. The study book is available from the Beaudrys for $3.50.
